Most important events

1947The Experimental-Research Station of Pesticides of the Azot Chemical Plant in Jaworzno and the Laboratory of Potato Beetle Biology and Control were founded in the place of the former School of Rural Household in Pszczyna.
1951The Experimental-Research Station of Pesticides was transferred to the Institute of Dyes and Semi-Manufactured Articles in Warsaw.
1957The Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry in Pszczyna was founded as one of four branches of the main Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry in Warsaw.
1960The following two research departments were founded:
  • Department of Pesticide Biological Effectiveness Evaluation
  • Department of Pesticide Side-Effects.
1974The third research department of the Institute, i.e. the Department of Field Experimentation and Pesticide Use Economics was founded.
1978The toxicology pavilion was extended and the apitoxicology pavilion was built.
1995The Institute was modernized in order to meet the GLP requirements and obtain the Statements of GLP Compliance.
2000The organizational structure of the Institute changed. The following units came into being:
  • Department of Toxicology,
  • Department of Ecotoxicology.

ZakłThe former one was the first in Poland to obtain the OECD Statement of GLP Compliance No. 24/2000 issued by the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS).
2001The Department of Ecotoxicology achieved the Statement of GLP Compliance No. G 005.
2006The Department of Toxicology obtained the Statement of GLP Compliance No. 4/2006/GLP issued by the Bureau for Chemical Substances and Preparations in Łódź.
2007The 60th anniversary of the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry.
The Department of Ecotoxicology obtained the Statement of GLP Compliance No. 1/2007/GLP issued by the Bureau for Chemical Substances and Preparations in Łódź.
2009The Laboratory of Alternative Methods was formed.
2014Since 5th March 2014 we have held the Certificate, which confirms compliance with the ISO 9001 Standard.
2017The 70th anniversary of the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry.
2017We have been granted full accreditation by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC) International Council.
2019On April 1, 2019 the Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry, including the Branch in Pszczyna, became a part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network and started operating under the name “the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Industrial Organic Chemistry”.
